Privacy Policy

What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect your email address. When you purchase a Distillog Pro licence we collect your email address and process payment through Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
Your notes
Notes are stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. We have no access to them at rest.
When you request a distill, the relevant note content is transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate the summary. We do not store, log, or retain that content on our servers. If you use Distillog Pro (our managed API key), requests are proxied through our backend but the note content is not persisted — it passes through to Anthropic and is discarded. We have no practical way to encrypt your notes from ourselves during this transmission, so if that is a concern you should use your own API key (BYOK), which sends requests directly from your device to Anthropic.
Anthropic processes the content under their own privacy policy and data processing terms, which you can read at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

We do not sell your data to anyone.
Data retention
Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them. Licence records are kept for as long as the licence is active and for a reasonable period after for accounting purposes. You can request deletion at any time by getting in touch.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking cookies or analytics.
Terms of Service

Licence
Distillog is licensed per user, not sold. A single licence permits use on your personal devices. You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicence the software.
Distillog Pro
Pro is a subscription. If you cancel, your licence remains active until the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.
Acceptable use
You may not use Distillog to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or in violation of Anthropic's usage policies.
No warranty
Distillog is provided as-is. We make no guarantees about uptime, data preservation, or fitness for a particular purpose. Back up your notes.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Distillog's liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the app after notice of changes constitutes acceptance.
